Suitcases and Film

The classic black and white movies from the past are probably the best archive of all the variations in suitcase design prior to the most modern suitcase. There is an interesting relationship with the time period from the 1940's through the 60's with suitcases and film. During this time theBriefcase  were a huge part in conveying the feel of the movie. They appeared to match the characters that owned them and somehow tell a story of the class of person. This relationship does not exist in modern film making. The trolley case  seem to blend into the background and have no attachment to the characters in the film. The forms of suitcases today are not as easy or nice to look at as the ones that inhabit classic film.
